Strartego games rules
When playing with the rule that states the winning piece is moved immediately into the empty square formerly occupied by the losing piece, the Scout may attack from afar, thus allowing the Scout to "drag" enemy pieces across the board. Pieces can only move forward and cannot retreat, but when they reach their opponent's back row, they are 'kinged' and now have backward and forward movement.
Prior to play, each player secretly designates two squares on his or her side of the board that contain a hidden land mine. The Spy has the power to defeat the current highest-ranking piece on the board, whatever that piece might be. Shuffle your army deck thoroughly and place all your cards face down in a pile in front of you. Without letting your opponent see, pick up the top 8 cards. Choose 5 cards from those 8 to make up your front line. Place those 5 cards face down in a row on the table.
The 3 cards that remain will make up your hand. If necessary, pick up cards to make your hand back up to 3 cards. Always pick from the top of the card deck in front of you. Choose one of the cards in your front line, turn it over and use it to 'tap' a card in your enemy's front line.
The game board is the battlefield. Each player has an army of men and some bombs that they can use during play. The army is used to steal the other flag and to protect your own flag.
The bombs are used to make play a bit trickier. Players can attack each others pieces, but pieces can be bombs which will "blast" your piece from the board. Victory comes when a player can steal his opponents flag.
